What is Google Analytics?

Google analytics is a free web analytics service that tracks and reports website traffic. There are so many website owners that don’t have Google analytics installed on their websites. This means that they are missing out on valuable data that could help them better understand their website traffic. Google analytics is something that every website owner should use.

Improve Customer Experience

Google analytics provides you with the tools you need to analyze data from different touchpoints in one place, for a better understanding of the customer experience. You can then share the insights that matter the most to your entire organization. Google analytics has everything that you need to understand your website visitors and provide them with a better website experience.

Website Visitors

Google analytics will allow you to see how many visitors are coming to your website and the actions that they take on your site. This is important because without this information you won’t be able to understand why your website visitors are not converting. Understand your visitors will allow you to take your website to the next level.

Google analytics even allows you to see where your visitors are coming from. So, you’re able to see the country, state, and city. So, if you want more visitors from a certain location, this will put you on the right path to target users from certain geographical locations.

Pages/Per Session

This metric will allow you to see how many pages per session your visitors are visiting. Two to three pages per session is an ideal number to have. If it’s one to two pages, then this means that something is wrong with your website. Perhaps your website needs more pages, or the content isn’t relevant enough.

Bounce Rate

The bounce rate is one of the most important metrics in Google analytics. If a user only visits the home page without visiting other pages, then that would be a bounce. So, you want your visitors to explore other pages of your website. An ideal bounce rate should be at about 50%, anything above 60% is not good and is an indication that the website’s content or speed needs improvement.
